The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire construction process, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. This role involves managing site operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and leading the construction team.
- Overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion.
- Reviewing projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Coordinating and supervising construction workers and subcontractors.
- Lead and coordinate the Site team, Construction Superintendents and supervisors and site QA/QC and HSE Managers.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and reporting issues.
- Managing the use of construction equipment and machinery.
- Resolving problems and implementing improvements in construction processes with support from Constructability & Methods team.
- Maintaining communication between project managers, site staff, and clients.
- Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff, Management and 3rd Parties.
- Monitoring build costs and project progress.
- Coordinating quality and safety inspections.
- Lead and participate in coordination meetings.
- Ensure Implementation of Company Standards.
- Graduate level Engineering, in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in construction management or a similar role, >10 years’ experience in construction of chemical/petrochemical plants
preferably in the gas industry. - Excellent managerial, leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve are essential.
- Knowledge of national and international codes and standards.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and German language.
- Readiness for worldwide business trips
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles,
- Familiarity with construction and project management software.
