Latest news from our Project in Antwerp!
👉 We’re thrilled to bring you the latest news from our ongoing construction of the massive 197,000 m³ Ethylene Tank for the “INEOS Project ONE” in Antwerp!
🚧 The tank roof will be covered by a total of 4,000 m³ of concrete. Given its vast size, we’re applying it in two equal layers. We’ve just successfully completed the first layer. To support the weight of the wet concrete during this phase, we pressurized the tank from the inside until the concrete was sturdy enough to hold its own weight.
👷♀️👷♂️ As we speak, we’re gearing up to pour the second layer, which we’ve divided into nine sections to ensure the concrete’s surface is finished to perfection. This task will span several weeks and we’re aiming to wrap it up by the early summer of 2025. Once the concrete dome roof is in place, we’ll forge ahead with installing the top structures, including steel, piping, and electrical works.
Project ONE is a standout project in our field, marking the largest investment in Europe’s petrochemical sector in the past two decades. The cryogenic tank for ethane, with its size of 197,000 m³, is currently the largest of its kind in Europe. We’re incredibly proud to contribute to this remarkable project and extend our heartfelt thanks to INEOS Belgium for entrusting us with this task! 👏
